How relationships are impacted by the Coronavirus

If you’ve been reading the news, then you know that this epidemic, Coronavirus, is impacting lives all over the world.

The most recommended way to protect yourself from being infected is to wash your hands, not touch your face and avoid physical contact (i.e.: keep your distance from others). Many people are in fact avoiding physical contact due to the coronavirus outbreak but what does this mean for relationships?

Touch is the most impactful way to convey emotions. Due to the outbreak, many people are avoiding social kissing, handshaking and hugging. While this is in line with recommendations, the absence of touch can have a detrimental effect on relationships, especially romantic ones.
